Jewish Faculty and Staff Association

Welcome!

The Jewish people have long embraced ideas that are central to the mission of the modern university, and that animate the ASU Charter. These ideas include universal ethics and literacy, debate as a path to knowledge and truth, and an obligation to Tikkun Olam – “repairing the world”. A vibrant and healthy ASU Jewish community manifests these and other ideas that benefit ASU and the wider communities that it serves.

The ASU Jewish Faculty & Staff Association welcomes all ASU faculty and staff - Jewish or not - who are interested in fostering a welcoming and inclusive culture of belonging for Jewish people, and their allies and advocates, as aligned with the ASU Charter.

To realize this vision we

Bring together professionals from across the university to support the Jewish experience at the university.

Support and advocate for the needs of the Jewish community at ASU.

Educate and advise university administrators, faculty, staff, and students on public and university issues that affect ASU’s Jewish community.

Collaborate with others who share the organization’s concerns, mission, and values.
