Interested in conservation and environmental science, Hall has drawn on her experience and perspective to use her platform as a researcher and instructor to help change who is represented in biology, more specifically ecology and conservation biology, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.

Professor Su interest is in findings related to the fight against addiction, mental health problems and substance abuse. She conducts research on alcohol abuse within marginalized populations, with recent findings highlighting the link between racial discrimination and drinking, and the protective role of personality and problem drinking.

The Asian and Asian Pacific American Students Coalition is an alliance of nearly 20 clubs and organizations that cultivate community, advocate and represent the needs of Asian and Pacific Islander students.
