Our History

The LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association was established in 2016 and in 2017 granted full committee status by the Office of the Provost.

Upon formation of the Association it merged with UBIQUITY, its previous iteration formed in 1994 to provide community support in response to the political climate of the moment. Its membership was incorporated into the new, broader Association in acknowledgement of the evolving needs of the university's LGBTQ+ community.

We are proud to support the Alumni LGBT Devils' Pride Chapter Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to advance educational opportunities for students attending the university. Other notable financial assistance we support originates from the Point Foundation, a nonprofit organization that has made a difference in the lives of hundreds of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students around the world.
