Councils and Committees are groups of campus members typically appointed by the provost and uniquely integrated into the operations of our office, enabling high levels of engagement.
Hispanic Advisory Council
Comprised of thirteen university professionals, appointed by the Provost, this group meets monthly to understand and contribute to our pursuit of the Hispanic Serving Institution designation from the U.S. Department of Education, and retain this designation through the exchange of knowledge and insights
Native American Advisory Council
Inspired by the aspiration of being the leading institution in programs relevant to American Indian and Alaska Native Nations, the goal of this council is to create an international reputation for excellence in service to native communities and improve the recruitment and retention of Native American students and faculty
Martin Luther King Jr. Committee
Appointed by the Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence, this group is comprised of members from all areas of the university to orchestrate activities in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Student members are appointed to one-year terms by the recommendation of the Vice President for University and Student Initiatives.

Advisory Council on African American Affairs
Appointed by the Office of the President, this council is composed of faculty, staff and students working to develop, implement and evaluate undifferentiated outcomes in service to respective members of our campus communities, and engaging with the Black and African American community within the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.
